It allows our Human Kinetic specialists to better analyze and pick the shoes that best work with your entire body. We visually review and analyze your gait pattern in detail, frame-by-frame step-by-step. We are the only ones in the Lower Mainland with this system! Your footwear or orthotics can be fine-tuned by our experts based on minute differences noted when you're running or walking.

F-Scan In-Shoe Gait Analysis

Kintec was the first company of its kind to introduce the F-Scan in-shoe gait analysis system into a public clinical setting.This diagnostic instrument can be used to aid in your foot analysis and is especially important if you are affected by diabetes and peripheral neuropathy.

The F-Scan system consists of in-shoe pressure sensors that allow us to capture the pressure distribution within your shoes. Any pressure points between your foot and the shoe can be detected, allowing your Pedorthist to make the necessary alterations to your shoes or orthotics to prevent ulcers. If you are affected by Diabetes or Peripheral Neuropathy, this system can significantly reduce your risk of injury!

Not only can we record and quantify the high and low pressure areas under your feet, we can also determine the timing sequence of your walking pattern. This is an excellent tool for taking an in-depth look at your gait and allows us to optimize the orthotic design even further.

Both you and your medical professional will be provided with an in-depth report including Force/Time graphs, peak pressure readings and timing analysis. The F-Scan computerized analysis is not part of our standard clinical assessment. The cost of this additional assessment is incorporated into the cost of the orthotic if an orthotic is required.
